This contemporary mountain home offers the perfect space for special family gatherings. Yeti’s Den sits hidden among the trees in a quiet highland community. The spacious well stocked kitchen is sure to inspire wonderful meals and happy gatherings with spaces to eat inside and out. Kids will love the basement with an extra-large TV while dads enjoy the pool table. Gather around the outside firepit for songs and smores or enjoy the night sky from the outside hot tub. It is a short drive to the chic towns of Davis and Thomas, and the famed Blackwater Falls. Winter visitors will discover it is a short drive to Timberline Mountain, White Grass, and the slopes at Canaan Valley too! Yeti’s Den provides the perfect accommodations for your next family vacation. Well behaved dogs are welcome too! No more than 2 per stay please.

Yeti’s Den
We had a great time. Everything at the cabin worked, and we had plenty of room for all of our family. The location was great - easy access to Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Thomas and Davis.

Amazing, private property!
This house was amazing! It was well-stocked with everything we needed and very clean. The property was secluded and private with lots of hiking available when you walked out the front door.

Great stay!

Great stay overall.
There simply weren’t enough consumables like toilet paper, trash bags, and dishwater detergent, in the house for a group of 12 over several days. When we called to request more, instead of great customer service, we were told we’d been provided the ‘policy’ amount. We didn’t enjoy being nickel and dimed after paying thousands of dollars.

All the Perks

This house was in a central location close to Davis and the ski resorts. It was well-maintained and beautifully decorated with tons of terrific amenities. The bedrooms had enough space with comfy beds. The kitchen provided all the right equipment to cook for a large group. Our only suggestion would be to change out the hot tub water due to it having an odd smell. We enjoyed our stay here and appreciate the owners sharing it with us. We plan to return earlier next year, so the weather isn't too warm to ski!

This place was fantastic and very clean. Everyone had a good time and with 4 little kids running around we really noticed how clean the place was. Only reason we gave 4 stars was the shower on the upper floor's shower curtain was very dirty and needed replacing and the shower drain needs Drano or an unclogging.

Don’t sleep on this amazing home!

My family just stayed here between Christmas and New Years to take our teenage kids skiing at Timberline. We loved this house and all of its perks! Kids loved the hot tub, skee ball, game table and pool table. I loved the very well stocked kitchen! Would highly recommend staying at Yeti’s Den!

Had a great time at Yeti’s Den

Overall we enjoyed ourselves at Yeti’s Den. The location was spectacular it was like you were all by yourself. The hot tub was great so was the pool table. We were disappointed that the skeeball machine was broken as I read in past reviews, I expected it to be fixed. There was also mouse droppings on some of the counters, bed linens, and tables. Despite some of the shortcomings it was an enjoyable time and would recommend this place to others.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of Yeti's Den. We do apologize for those pesky little house invaders spoiling the hard work of our housekeepers. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise and appreciate you recommending this property to others. For future renters information, the damaged ski ball machine is unfortunate and we are unsure of when it might be repaired so it is not listed as an amenity at this time

Absolutely wonderful cabin in the woods
Very well appointed and well maintained. This cabin is roomy and excellent choice for those that want great location convenient to Davis and all at canaan valley. Loved the fact that fire wood was plenty and we had opportunity for outside fire was well as inside. Best of Caanan realty was welcoming and excellent to work with.

Family birthday celebration
Peaceful location, clean, well stocked rental. The family enjoyed the hot tub, games an puzzles at the house. Plenty of towels for the group of 12.
Due to the secluded location there was limited views of the mountains in the area. It was a relaxing weekend for all.
The only issues the guests mentioned were the skee ball game in the photos does not work and the grandkids were looking forward to playing with it. The other remark was the lack of curtains or blinds in the bathrooms. Granted, it is a remote area, but guests said they would prefer having the ability to close curtains while using the bathroom.
It was roomy and had everything we needed. We had an issue keeping the smart thermostat at a comfortable temp during the day but it was a very good home for our planned weekend.
Special thanks to Loraine at Best Of Canaan in helping to arrange a suitable home for our group.
Highly recommend the rental for a quiet family getaway.

Great stay
It very nicely accommodated our extended family of 12. Very clean and well equipped. Check in and check out procedures well posted. Prompt service on getting the Wi-Fi up and running. Enough seating for everyone which is greatly appreciated! The deck needs repair which is why the 4 stars on facility instead of 5. Otherwise great stay! Thank you!
