Long weekend with the family
What a warm and cozy place! We got to enjoy everything it had to offer as Mother Nature wasn't very nice to us for a couple of days. From the comfy and luminous family area to the relaxing beds upstairs, we have appreciated them all.

Great getaway

Rented on short notice from Best of Canaan for a quick weekend getaway in the Canaan Valley. The townhouse was clean and had everything we needed. Deerfield is quiet and well maintained. We had deer in the yard and humming birds in the flowers. We would definitely stay here again.

A very special place to stay
Renting at Deerfield, is consistently easy and beautiful. The town house was immaculate, well and comfortably furnished and everything needful was provided. It is so well located in the valley; close enough to walk to a delicious supper or easily drive to anywhere from Thomas to the Canaan resort and ski lift. That meant that anything from going for an evening at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas to a hike up to Bald Knob, going for groceries in Davis or exploration of Lindy Point was all within easy reach. Coming “home” to this very pretty, well furnished rental added greatly to my whole vacation experience.
Booking was simple and the staff warm, accommodating and friendly. I knew if I needed anything, they would help.

Very pleasant....unit appeared to be well loved however view from deck, as compared to other units within this complex, was less than desirable. Appreciated that ceiling fan had been installed in the bedrooms which is not common in Deerfield Village condos.

Fall at #29 Deerfield Village

We had a great week at #29 Deerfield Village. The house was very clean, comfy, cozy and well appointed. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck and watching movies on the cozy couch. The towels were very luxurious and beds warm when the temperatures fell. It was centrally located to the attractions we wanted to visit. Thanks for a wonderful week!

A great place to stay
This townhome was a great place to stay. We stayed here in February. It was exactly described and shown in the photos. Beds were comfortable. All the essentials of home with a bonus of providing wood for the fireplace. The management was great to work with as well. Great location to many attractions including skiing and Blackwater Falls National Park. Would stay here again.

A Springtime Mountain Getaway

We had a great vacation stay at 29 Deerfield Village condo. The condo was tastefully decorated and the unit was clean and airy with a vaulted living room ceiling. Deerfield is centrally located in the valley and it is easy to travel to both Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls state parks.
The staff at Best of Canaan were very helpful with our reservation. We will definitely stay at Deerfield Village again!

Vacation Stay at Serenity

We were in Canaan for a family reunion. The rental was nice, unfortunately, it had not been cleaned due to a mix up. However, after informing the rental agent at Best of Canaan about the situation, she responded immediately and had a cleaner at the rental as soon as she could. The cleaner did a great job and we were satisfied with the condition of the rental. The condo presents very well and is neat and tidy. I would make a strong suggestion that you replace the pillows that are in the master bedroom. It was like sleeping on a big sponge making for a very uncomfortable night. I would also add another two pillows for a total of four. I would say that the pillows were the only negative. The towels were great, appliances were like new, and the back deck was really nice.

Peace and quiet in the early summer.

We checked in on Monday and stayed until Friday. It was great to have no demands on our time, no schedules to keep, just relax and enjoy the area. We took short driving excursions each day, to Thomas, Davis, Seneca Rocks, Black Water Falls and of course Canaan Valley Resort. Great meals in Davis at Muttley's and Siriannai's. Also drove up to Maryland one day to the lake area. The hills and valley were green and peaceful. No crowds in early June.

West Virginia skiing vacation with grandchildren
I rented this same unit last year for the last week in January and did the same this year. The unit is a 2 bedroom townhouse and is very comfortable and less than 5 miles from Timberline Ski resort. My grandchildren are 8 and 10 from south Florida and very enjoyed the unit and area skiing. We have been very fortunate to have fresh snow both times we visited. The state of West Virginia is absolutely beautiful and has some of the best people in the country.

Awesome!
The property was exactly what we expected from the pictures. Excellent customer service - we forgot our crockpot at home and couldn't find one in the unit and the management company went above and beyond by letting us borrow a personal crockpot for our use! The weather was great and we enjoyed our time skiing!

Winter vacation for Grandchilden who have never seen snow.
We had a long drive getting here from south Florida but the trip went very well. The unit was exactly as it was advertised, and the wood for the fireplace being included was a real bonus. We were very fortunate to have new snow 4 out of the 8 days we were in WV. The people we came in contact with both at the rental unit and ski resorts were very friendly and helpful. Since I spent my high school years in Pittsburgh, I was very happy to see WV has not lost its charm.

Quiet Community / Cozy Rental Close to Mountains

Deerfield was a wonderful community for our recent stay during the winter holidays. It is very family friendly community with several amenities (trash pick-up daily, firewood stocked, playgrounds within easy walking distance). Serenity has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms and bathrooms comfortable, the living room cozy with a fireplace and stereo, TVs for everyone's entertainment.
